Based on the reviews I read, the hats seemed to run a little small. My little one has a big head for his age, so I got the toddler size. It seems a little bigger than I thought. The circumference is the size of my head, although the straps are too short to snap under my chin. I bought it for this winter, which is several months away, so it may be fine. If its too big, Ill put it over his coat hood, rather than under it. Its too cute to cover up, anyway!

We ordered a child's medium thinking she could grow into it or we could put it over a helmet for now. The hat barely fits our 1 year old as is.Otherwise, hat is cute, as advertised. Shipped quickly and package tracking was nice.

The size is smaller than expected. Ordered the toddler size for my 3 year old, but it doesnt fit at all, and her head is in the 50th percentile .
